Stephen Lawrence Day

Today 22nd April 2024 we remember Stephen Lawrence on the anniversary of his death. This year Stephen should be turning 50. Stephen should be preparing to celebrate all the success in his life, he should be an Architect, have a family of his own, enjoying time with his family and friends, living his life to the full. Stephen's life was cut short as result of a Race base Hate crime. 

Following his death and the subsequent McPhearson Report we have seen changes in attitudes and law relating to Policing and justice, profound changes to discrimination law and new equality legislation but what Stephen and his family wanted was for him to enjoy a full life.

There is still much work to be done. Celebrate Stephen by learning about his legacy.
