GMB Southern SHOUT! is the region's dedicated self-organised group for members who identify as coming under the LGBTI+ umbrella.

While our activity has been curbed in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we hope to become fully active again soon.

We try to attend Pride events across the region to show visibility in our solidarity with our LGBTI+ members, and actively lobby, with the help of counterparts in other regions and colleagues at national office, for meaningful change for our members, both in the workplace and in wider society.

Recent campaigns have included our Equal Blood Campaign, to change the laws around gay or bisexual men giving blood, and our tireless work on Trans awareness and visibility.
